The oil and gas industry is a complex sector that relies on reliability, maintainability, availability and safety to guarantee the success of its operations. It is in this demanding context that the GRIF software suite found its place at one of the industry's biggest events: ADIPEC. Bringing together experts, innovators and thought leaders from around the world, ADIPEC is the ideal place to share innovative ideas and explore the latest technological advances.

On the TotalEnergies stand, visitors had the opportunity to discover how the Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Safety (RAMS) analysis tool: GRIF, can play a key role in optimizing oil and gas operations. But that's not all, during the event one of our experts: Nicolas Clavé had the opportunity to present his paper entitled "Optimizing The Balance Between Production Availability, Capex And Opex Of Projects While Managing Environmental Aspects With A Simulation Tool" on the performance of the Petro module of GRIF software suite.

Come back to our presence at ADIPEC 2023

To take a closer look at GRIF's presence on the TotalEnergies stand at ADIPEC, we invite you to watch the following video made during our participation:

Optimizing the balance between production availability, capital expenditure and operating expenditure for projects, while managing environmental aspects using a simulation tool

The presentation of this paper was one of the highlights of our participation at the exhibition. The abstract highlights the crucial importance of balancing production availability, capital expenditure (Capex) and operating costs (Opex) while managing environmental aspects.

The authors of this article are Nicolas Clavé and Maïder Estécahandy, TotalEnergies' experts on the industrial application of the GRIF software suite, an FMDS tool. The calculations presented in the article were carried out using two powerful GRIF modules that are perfectly suited to the oil and gas industry: the Petri module, which uses stochastic Petri nets and is equipped with the MOCA-RP (MOnte-CArlo - Petri nets) calculation engine, and the Petro module, which uses block diagrams with multiple flows and is also equipped with the MOCA-RP calculation engine.
